DAM HAZARD CLASSIFICATIONS
A dam hazard classification is required by state and federal dam safety agencies to evaluate the potential consequences of a dam failure to the residents and property downstream of a dam, and to establish proper regulatory standards and criteria for the investigation, design, and construction of a new or rehabilitated dam. RJH’s primary expertise, experience, and identity are in evaluation, design, rehabilitation, and
construction of new and existing earthen
and concrete gravity dams and above and
below ground water storage facilities.
This experience makes us an excellent
choice for the proper evaluation and
categorization of a Dam Hazard
Classification and preparation of the
necessary documents to meet state or federal requirements.
